A delicious dinner!
Same procedure as every year: My aunt has again decided to take part in a cooking seminar which Andreas Geitl, the chief de cuisine of the Nockherberg Biergarden and Restaurant in Munich, arranged. As I already lately reported he is also presenting once a week a cooking show at the Bavarian television.
Due to lack of time I could not accompany my aunt. But for tasting the result of this cooking session I joined the following dinner party.
My fasting time after Christmas was already over and I had started to prepare myself for that event by taking only light food the days before.
At 7pm the evening started with the visit of the kitchen area where all the wonderful dishes were created, continued by an aperitif and with the final, taking place in the well decorated dining room where the fire in the chimney spread a homely ambiance.
We all were very hungry and waiting for the surprises promised by the following menu.
Fried Vegetables with Honey-Wheat Beer-Dressing and Fleischpflanzerl (Hamburger)
***
„Bavarian Bouillabaisse“
***
„Two Types of Beef“
Braised Meat and Fried Filet in Port Wine
with an Apple filled with Potato-Fig-Puree
***
Orange Ice Cream-Parfait with Camparisalad
and Ginger-Chocolate-Cake
|
Believe me, the menu did not lie. The food was very, very tasty and a joy for the eyes, too.
While eating through all the courses, the time just slipped away unnoticed.
We left our host at 11.30 pm impressed by a new experience of cuisine.
